Types of Information Collected

Web Site Visits

Like most Web sites on the Internet, the WiseStamp server records certain information it automatically receives from the browser, such as the Web request, Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, language preference, referring site, pages viewed and the order of those pages. This information is used to help diagnose problems with our servers, to make the site more useful and to customize the site and personalize its content for you.

By analyzing the Web site usage as explained above, we may compile certain statistical information, such as most visited WiseStamp pages. This aggregated statistical data cannot be linked to any personal information. We may share such non-personal statistical information with our partners.

Cookies

A cookie is a small piece of text that is sent to a visitor’s browser by a Web site. The browser provides this piece of text to the originating Web site when this visitor returns.

Service Usage Statistics

When you use WiseStamp software or services, WiseStamp’s servers automatically record certain information about your use of WiseStamp. Similar to other web services, WiseStamp records information such as software version, user activity (including storage usage, number of log-ins, signature generation), data displayed or clicked on (including links) and other log information (including browser type, IP-address, date and time of access, cookie ID, and email platform) on our website, software, or in signatures generated by WiseStamp;  this information is gathered in order to help us improve our service.

This information is used either anonymously to analyze generic user behavior patterns, or as an aggregate to identify general statistics in our software and services usage. We will not share this personal information with third parties or other WiseStamp users without your explicit permission, except when required by law, subpoena or court order. We may share such non-personal aggregated statistical data information with our partners, users or any other third party.

General Use of Personal Information

We use your personally identifying information to register you as a user of the site and to control access to your personal account. We may use your email address to contact you directly to alert you of technical problems with your account, or, unless you opt out, to contact you regarding WiseStamp services or products. We will never sell your email address to third parties.
We may also associate your personally identifying information with information we collect about your preferences and activities at the site, such as the particular pages you request at the site or other transactions you effect through the site in order to vary the content you receive in future visits to the site.

We may analyze in aggregate information gathered from all users in order to deliver services of interest to other users. Such aggregate analysis will always exclude any personally identifying information. For instance, if we notice that many users are suddenly using a new service in their signature, we may display that site in a list of “hot sites.”

Third Party Web Sites

We may display links to 3rd party sites and some of our site pages might display information from 3rd parties (such as YouTube or Flickr). We cannot be held responsible for any 3rd party Web sites and accessing their content will be subject to their own privacy policies, which we advise you to check.
