How WiseStamp email signature manager works
1. Directory
WiseStamp syncs with your company’s Active Directory to pull user information like names, job titles, and phone numbers.
2. Design
The admin uses the WiseStamp Exchange email signature generator to design professional signature templates.
3. Assign and store
WiseStamp assigns the signatures to users and securely stores them on its servers, ready for deployment.
4. Deploy
When a user sends a new message, WiseStamp applies the assigned email signature using your preferred deployment method – server-side, client-side, or hybrid.
WiseStamp’s email signature manager for Exchange can be configured in three ways:
Server-Side
This solution does not require admins to install any software locally. The entire setup process takes place at the server level.
Setup involves installing a connector on your Exchange server, allowing our Exchange email signature software to access mail flow and modify outgoing emails.
This approach is ideal where it’s crucial to maintain centralized control over company-wide email signatures
Client-Side
Client-side configuration is where signatures are processed locally.
The admin uses WiseStamp to design a master Exchange email signature template. WiseStamp pulls data from Active Directory and auto-fills user information to create personalized signatures for all users. The signatures are then deployed automatically to the clients when they start composing emails. The admin maintains control over the signature.
This setup does not support mobile apps that don’t support plugins.
Hybrid Mode
With this configuration, WiseStamp Exchange signature manager combines server-side and client-side solutions, allowing you to enjoy the best of both worlds.
Installation for the hybrid mode solution takes place locally and on the server. WiseStamp Exchange signature management software detects when both solutions are present and ensures only one signature is applied at a time.
Choose WiseStamp hybrid mode if you want your employees to see their signatures while composing new emails, without compromising consistent delivery.
Permissions and security
WiseStamp Exchange email signature software requires permission to connect with your Microsoft 365 and Exchange environments during setup. Only a global admin can consent to these permissions. This protects the overall organization’s security by preventing unauthorized users or apps from accessing internal systems.
While WiseStamp is involved in your organization’s email flow, it does not read, store, or change the email content or the recipients. The Exchange email signature generator only stores the information necessary to generate signatures, like name, job title, and email address.
