How To


  1. How can I edit my signature?

    1. Locate the WiseStamp Icon WiseStamp make a signature on the bottom of your browser.

    2. Click on the icon and choose 'Edit Signature' (or simply click on Tools ->WiseStamp)

    3. Design and customize your signature. It is as easy as it gets.

  2. How do I set my default signature?

    In the 'General' tab choose your signature and click on the 'set as default' link this will set it as your default signature.

  3. How can I add my company logo or an image to my signature?

    * If you want to add an image or logo from your computer you will have to upload it first to an online photo service such as Flickr or Picasa Web albums and then add the online picture to your signature.

    Browse to the image you want to add, Now Right Click with your mouse, on the image and select 'Copy Image Location' (see illustration)

    Go to the WiseStamp editor (see 'how to') & click on the 'insert image' icon and paste the image location link. (see illustration below)

  4. How can i add a feed (RSS) and automatically link to my latest Twitter or Blog posts in my WiseStamp email signature?

    With WiseStamp email signature you can easily promote and share in your email signature your latest and most fresh blog post (via your blog Blog RSS RSS feed) .

    Follow those simple steps:

    1. Copy (Ctrl+C) your RSS feed.
    2. Open WiseStamp in your browser.
    3. Select the “RSS” tab and insert (Ctrl+V) the copied link into the “feed url” filed.
    4. Click on the Apply button.

    That’s it!

    After the following steps a link to your latest post will update automatically in your WiseStamp email signature.

  5. How can I add a link into my Email signature?

    All you have to do is write your text (or select an image) in the WiseStamp Editor and then click on the URL icon Add a Link to email signature icon and paste the link.

  6. How do I make my email address an active link in my Signature?

    In order to create a email address link that will open a new email compose window after clicked, you should simply:
    1. Highlight your email address text in the WiseStamp rich editor.
    2. Link that text by clicking on the link button in the editor- See How can i add a link into my Email signature?
    3. In the opening window simply add this text as your link address: mailto:YourEmail@gmail.com

  7. How can i disable the automatic email signature insertion?

    1. In order to permanently stop the automatic insertion of the default signature:

    - Go to the 'Settings' tab and uncheck the option 'Auto insert into mail messages'

    - Click 'Save'

    2. If you want to be able to switch on/of the disabling of the automatic insertion:

    - click on the WiseStamp Icon email signature icon on the bottom of your browser.

    - Choose 'Disable'.

    - the stamp icon will become gray and will not insert any signature until you click 'Enable'

    This option will disable manual signatures insertion as well.

  8. How Can I disable the WiseStamp Promotional tag line "--- @ WiseStamp" that appears in the bottom of my signature?

    Like using WiseStamp? WiseStamp Promotional tagline is the way you can show your support and help us promote WiseStamp,
    You can find the option to control the insertion of this link in your settings (Version 1.1 & above) Check out the spread the word page to learn of additional ways in which you can show your support in the WiseStamp project.

  9. How can I insert Html to my signature?

    In the rich editor click on the 'Html' button and add or edit your Html code.

    This is the easy way to insert ready made Html signatures or create a html signature of your own and automatically add it to all your sent emails  via Gmail (Google App's) , Yahoo, Hotmail, Aol and more...

  10. How can I place Text, Images or Html under my social services icons?

    Click on the 'Html' button on the right side of your rich editor and then click on the 'Show Advanced' button on the left side-> Advanced Html will show up on the bottom of your signature.

  11. How can I switch between my signatures?

    Click on the WiseStamp Icon on the bottom of your browser or in your webmail and choose the signature you are interested in using.

    - Important: Using this method will effect this individual email only, if you want to switch your automatic inserted signature to all your emails please check out How do i set my default signature?

  12. How can I insert my signature manually?

    Click on the WiseStamp Icon on the bottom of your browser or in your webmail and choose what signature to insert (can be found via firefox's right click menu as well).

  13. How can I force WiseStamp to insert my E-mail signature at my exact cursor position in the message?

    That is simple: Click on Right Mouse click (open Firefox right click menu) >> insert signature >> Choose your signature - this will insert your picked signature at your exact cursor position.

  14. How to change or add a text title before the social profiles or IM icons?

    With WiseStamp you can now add, for each signature, a different Social Profiles or IM services title or settings. All you have to do is to choose the signature you want to work on, go to the relevant tab (Social Profiles or IM) and click on the 'Edit settings' link on the right corner of each tab.WiseStamp settings


Troubleshooting


  1. Why can't I find the WiseStamp icon anywhere?

    February 3Gmail user -Icon disappeared from webmail?

    Most common:

    • Usually this is due to your email account and all you need to do is simply perform a Firefox clear cache refresh: Click Ctrl +Shift+ R on your email window and wait until your Webmail service reloads.
    • Gmail users: be sure you are using "Rich Formatting"; WiseStamp will not work with "Plain Text". In order to switch from "Plain Text" to "Rich Formatting: In the "compose new email" box, simply click 'Rich formatting >>' and you are good to go.


    If none of the above works try the following:

    • Temporary disable interfering Firefox extensions:
          1. To disable extensions click: Tools>>Add-ons>>Extensions>>Click on each Extension>>Disable.
          2. After disabling all (except for WiseStamp), restart Firefox.
          3. Try now to insert your signature manually if that works, click CTRL+Shift+R and check if the auto insertion works as well.
          4. Now you can enable the extensions one by one until you find which extension conflicts with WiseStamp.
          5. List the conflicting extension and please let us know so we can solve it.
    • Are you using the extension "better gmail2"?
    • Try to uncheck options on the "compose" tab and/or the "Use Macros" tab.

      If none of the above works- you might have a specific
      issue with your personal Firefox Profile, what you might want to do is to
      create a new Firefox profile.

  2. My Default signature doesn't appear automatically on my emails?

    February 3Gmail user- Signature suddenly stopped working?
    Fix: Please update to our fixed version wisestamp-1.3.5

    Most common:

  3. Why am I getting a broken picture link when I add a picture?

    If you see this icon: you have probably added an incorrect image location link.

    Please follow exactly the How to Add an Image to WiseStamp Signatures
    guide to prevent this from happening.

    Picasa users
    - note that the link provided by Picasa directs to the page and not the image. For that reason it will not work. To upload the image, you need to right click on it as explained in the 'Image Location link' guide.
    This will do the job just fine.


  4. I have installed Firefox 3.5 and my signature stopped inserting automatically?

    Simply update to our latest bug fixed version Latest WiseStamp version this should fix your Firefox 3.5 issues.

  5. My social services icons don't link properly to my personal profiles

    Each social service has a different link structure for your personal profile. To find out the correct link structure all you have to do is open the Signature Editor and hover (move your mouse courser) over the   icon that appears next to the field of the social service you are interested in adding. Now you will see the correct link structure to insert in order to link your personal profiles properly. Put it in the correct form and you just socialized your signature.


  6. When I click on the Download button my computer asks me to download the .XPI file instead of installing WiseStamp. What should I do?

    All you have to do is save the .xpi file to your computer (Right click your mouse >>Choose 'Save Link As'), and then open it using Firefox >> File >> Open .
    You should now get the normal prompt to install the file. That's it!

  7. I can't download WiseStamp and I am receiving installation errors such as: "Not a valid install package -207" or "Unexpected installation error -203" what can I do?


    Some times Firefox encounters with download errors from a server.
    First of all: Don't Panic! You can still install WiseStamp on your computer by
    doing the following:
    1. Go to the download Link/Button in this site>> Right click
    your mouse >>Choose 'Save Link As' and save WiseStamp to your
    computer.
    2. Open the .xpi file via Firefox >> File >> Open
    You should now get the normal prompt to install the WiseStamp.

    For error -203:

    If this doesn't work for you, you have a problem with your Firefox and this is
    what you should do about it:

    * Tip: Unexpected installation error -203
    * Official Mozilla- regarding error 203


  8. Since I have installed WiseStamp I have technical issues with my webmail/Firefox/other services?

    Oops, first of all we are sorry. This is very (very very) rare.

  9. What should I check before I send a WiseStamp Support form?

    In order for us to find & fix your problem we will first want to be certain your problem is caused due to WiseStamp.

    Please follow these very simple checkup steps:


    Go to Tools -> Add ons and find WiseStamp in the Add-ons list. Click and Disable it.


    1. Restart Firefox
    2. Check if you still have the same problem


    If the problem disappeared:


    • Please Enable WiseStamp again

    • Restart Firefox
    • Did the problem return?


    If the problem appears only when WiseStamp is enabled, please let us know and we will do our best to solve it for you.


  10. Known Issues

    Reported problems:

    • Thunderbird reply/fwd issues + message error
    Fix:  Users reported that the work around meanwhile is to delete the first email WiseStamp Signature, As well we are examining this issue stay tuned via our blog for updates.
    • Conflict with Gmail labs "Default Text Styling"

    Fix: We are working on a fix please stay tuned via our blog, Meanwhile you can work around this issue simply by disabling the automatic insertion and using the manual insertion

    • Gmail Draft- Extra signature inserted


    Fix: We are examining this issue, Workaround- manually delete the extra signature stay tuned via our blog for updates.

  1. Is WiseStamp Really Free?

    Yes it is!
    Weird, ah? Such a great product and yet – WiseStamp is completely free.

  2. How can I create my own WiseStamp signature?

    All you need to do is install WiseStamp to your Firefox browser, and then simply set up your own personal WiseStamp signature. It is very simple – just try it.

  3. In which email services can I use WiseStamp?

    WiseStamp is currently compatible with: Gmail, Yahoo!, Hotmail, AOL and soon more services….

  4. When will WiseStamp be available for Explorer users as well?

    WiseStamp is currently available only for Firefox users.

    We are working hard to expand WiseStamp into other browsers (Internet Explorer, Chrome etc.) and Email Clients (Outlook, Thunderbird etc.).

  5. How can I install WiseStamp?

  6. Does WiseStamp need any external software to work properly?

    Absolutely not. WiseStamp is completely embedded in your web browser, that’s why it’s so easy to use.

  7. How can I assure WiseStamp has no Spyware or Adware?

    We at WiseStamp really hate Spyware/Adware and any other sort of malicious software.
    We clearly state- we will never let any of those harmful codes come close to our products or services!

  8. Why do my links appear in the form of "my.wisestamp.com/.."?

    In order to improve our services to our users we are currently testing & examining some exciting new features, those services require that WiseStamp signature links redirect via WiseStamp servers. To remove any doubt we highly respect our users privacy and therefore all of our services are strictly obligated to follow our privacy policy as well as our anti spyware company philosophy.

  9. How can I help WiseStamp talk in my own language?

    Can't find your mother tongue among our supported languages?
    You can help us!
